Owen Bruhn BSc Hons, G Dip Occ Hyg, G Dip Erg, Dip Gov (Insp), is a health, safety and wellness practitioner. He is licenced to teach Stillness Meditation Therapy and is a (teaching) member of Meditation Australia. He is also a Primal Health Coach and utilises the principles of the Egoscue method. In 1984, Bruhn attended Ainslie Meares' meditation classes for nearly 12 months. After a painful injury in 2011 he spent several years studying, began to write about and teach Meares' method. His first book, Ainslie Meares on Meditation, includes a biography of Meares, Relief Without Drugs* & 30+ sample poems by Meares. It also summarises Meares' refined Stillness Meditation method. His second book, A Key To The Books of Ainslie Meares, is soon to be published. He is currently working on a third book that integrates Meares' method with core ideas of the evolutionary health movement. Bruhn lives with family and dogs in Melbourne. He is a certified Primal Health Coach and utilises the principles of the Egoscue method. Bruhn met Ainslie Meares in 1984 and attended his meditation classes for several months. Bruhn’s interest in Meares’ method was substantially reinvigorated several years ago after a painful injury. Although he teaches Bruhn says he considers himself a student engaged in life long learning. Pauline McKinnon who is Bruhns’ teacher learnt directly from Ainslie Meares for around a decade and wrote the Foreword to the book.
